In collaboration with the Nepal Nursing Council, a five-member nursing response team travelled to flood-affected areas of Nuwakot carrying relief materials. During the visit, the team met a local nurse "Urmila Chitrakar" who was herself affected by the disaster and living under continued flood warnings because her home was close to the river. Despite the uncertainty and emotional stress, she remained actively involved in supporting people in her community. The visit also highlighted the importance of providing psychological and practical support to local nurses who were simultaneously disaster survivors and frontline responders.The team later travelled to Belkotgadhi-8, where access had become extremely difficult because the usual bridge connection was unavailable. A journey that would normally take about ten minutes required nearly two hours through an alternative route. Relief supplies were handed over locally for distribution to families in greatest need. As the area had received limited outside assistance, the team also documented urgent needs, communicated them to relevant organizations, and planned a follow-up visit with relief support for 35 families if the identified needs remained unmet.
